Master of Professional Accounting - Master of Science in Finance Joint Degree

The Seattle University Master of Professional Accounting (MPAC)/Master of Science in Finance (MSF) joint degree program is designed to allow students to complete both degrees in less time than if the two degrees were obtained independently outside the program.

Students in this program will receive the MPAC degree taking 37 hours of unique MPAC credits instead of the normal 46 credit hours, and will receive the MSF degree taking 36 hours of unique MSF credits instead of the normal 45. Total hours for both degrees is 73, excluding prerequisites. Students must complete all prerequisites for both programs. For the MPAC degree, students can use nine hours of MSF Core or electives as electives in the MPAC program. For the MSF degree, students can use nine hours of MPAC accounting courses as electives in the MSF toward the requirements in their Support Field. Students participating in this program must meet the admissions standards of both degree programs and declare their participation before completing at least 75% of the first degree program they enroll in.

This joint degree program is available to both full- and part-time students. Students must be accepted into the program at least one quarter prior to completing the requirements for the first degree and are expected to fulfill the admission requirements of both programs.
