Welcome to Seattle University’s new School of New and Continuing Studies (NCS)! At NCS we are dedicated to providing access to Seattle University’s transformative education to adult students in the Puget Sound area.
NCS currently offers a certificate in Web Development, and we are now accepting applications for baccalaureate degree-completion programs in Digital Cultures and Organizational Leadership. Courses for the baccalaureate programs will begin in March 2016. Our programs are specifically designed for busy adults—they are flexible, innovative, and experiential, and our dedicated faculty members are not only accomplished academics but experts in their career fields, bringing a wealth of professional experience to their courses.
The School of New and Continuing Studies also delivers an education that is distinctively Jesuit, one that not only prepares students for successful careers, but also to live meaningful and reflective lives and take the lead in making our world a just and humane one.
As a veteran who was an adult student myself, I understand the challenges facing returning adult students who must often balance their schooling with other obligations and roles—such as a parent, employee, or caretaker. There can be many moving parts in your life, and our professional staff can help you put the pieces together by providing support and services tailored to the needs of adult students.
Our programs are rigorous in the best Seattle University tradition. We challenge you to do your best, to stretch yourself, to engage actively in class and in the world. Achieving your educational goals will require a serious commitment of time and effort; at Seattle University’s School of New and Continuing Studies you are supported in those efforts by a vibrant, diverse, and caring community of fellow students, faculty, and staff.
If you’re considering enrolling in one of our programs, I invite you to contact us or attend one of our information sessions to learn why NCS is the right choice for you.
If you’re a new student, welcome to Seattle University, NCS, and our remarkable academic community.
