Seattle University College of Nursing is currently preparing its application to the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) to renew its accreditation for a new 10-year term. Nurse Midwifery preparation programs under consideration for re-accreditation include the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and Post-Doctoral Certificate. The ACME accreditation process is separate from the DNP program accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). ACME is seeking written third-party comments concerning the qualifications for re-accreditation of Seattle University’s nurse-midwifery programs, in accordance with the requirements of the ACME Policies and Procedures Manual, and the U.S. Department of Education.
