The decision to pursue a career in nursing is an important one. So how much thought have you really given to whether or not nursing is the right fit for you?
While not required for admission into the BSN Program, it is encouraged that incoming students take hold of opportunities to learn as much as the can about the nursing profession.
Here are a few ways to get started:
- Explore online websites or read articles
- Set up a job shadowing opportunity with practicing nurses
- Volunteer at a hospital, clinic, or health agency
- Talk with friends or family members that you know who are nurses
Note: The Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Seattle University is a direct-entry program and as such cannot accommodate changes of major into nursing by current Seattle University students.
