Curriculum Notes

  • Math 1010 College Algebra for Business (Pre-Calculus), Psychology, and Nutrition coursework must be completed within 10 years of anticipated program start date.
  • Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Statistics coursework must be completed within 5 years of anticipated program start date.
  • The Math 1010 College Algebra for Business (Pre-Calculus) prerequisite course cannot be satisfied through a Statistics course.
  • Students must earn a “C” or better in all nursing and prerequisite courses and must have a cumulative prerequisite GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Post-Baccalaureate students are waived from UCOR 2500 and UCOR 3400.

Application Requirements 

  • Official transcripts from each college, university, or professional school attended.
  • Official AP scores from College Board, and CLEP exam results, as applicable.

The example below assumed that you enter SU with junior standing (at least 90 credits), or have earned either a transferable Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s degree. Additionally, it assumes you have successfully completed the following courses: 

  • Introduction to Biology
  • Introduction to Chemistry
  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Lifespan Psychology (must cover birth to death)
  • Human Nutrition
  • MATH 1210 Statistics
  • College Algebra for Business (Pre-calculus) or higher course level
  • Anatomy and Physiology I and II
  • Microbiology
