Program Summary

You can earn the Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Ultrasound (DIUS) degree upon the completion of a minimum of 180 credits with a cumulative and a major GPA of 2.50. In addition, DIUS students must receive a grade of C or better in all required major courses.

In their senior year, students spend a full 12 months gaining essential hands-on experience during a supervised clinical internship. Students typically divide their internship year between two sites, spending six months at each. There are currently more than 100 internships sites located all over the U.S.

There are 3 plans of study designed to meet the needs of students entering the program at different points in their academic career. All students select either a cardiac/vascular sonography or general/vascular sonography focus when they apply to the program.
