As the Office of the Registrar and Operations one of our primary services to the university is student registration and withdrawal from classes. Our office houses policies and forms that allow students to register, withdraw from a class, petition for an exception, and more.

Student Records

The Office of the Registrar and Operations manages students’ academic records. Our office issues enrollment & degree verifications, Seattle University official & unofficial transcripts, and diplomas.  We also manage the quarterly grading process, changes to students’ majors & minors and notification of students’ rights through the Federal Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Transfer Tools

Only course content and credit are accepted in transfer; the associated grades do not become a part of the Seattle University record.  When “content” only is granted, the transfer course is used to satisfy a Seattle University requirement, but the credit earned does not count towards the total number of degree credits at Seattle University.

The maximum number of transfer credits accepted for undergraduate students is 135, comprising 90 lower division (this includes AP/IB/CLEP/DANTES and military coursework) and 45 upper division credits.
