PROGRAM INFORMATION

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

The Seattle University Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Professional Health Studies Program is designed for qualified students who have finished their undergraduate degrees, but lack most or all of the core pre-health science courses (Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, or Math). The program is not appropriate for those who have completed the basic pre-health courses and wish to enroll only in advanced coursework. The program is also not intended for those who want to improve their GPA by repeating basic pre-health courses that they have already completed.

International applicants please be aware of enrollment limitations at the graduate and professional school level.

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS

PBPHS students enroll in the same science and math courses offered to our undergraduate students, ensuring that all of our students receive the same high-quality education. PBPHS students attend lectures with undergraduates at classes offered during the day. Post-Bac students are expected to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 during the completion of their coursework.

The requirements for the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Professional Health Studies Certificate are successful completion of 45 credits of pre-health level science and math courses. These credits may be earned in these pre-health pre-requisite courses:
