The Center for Religious Wisdom & World Affairs offers Seattle University and School of Theology and Ministry students an invaluable resource for cultivating their own vision for public theology in society.
The Center seeks to become a key resource for the education of future generations of religious leaders, cultivating the tools and language that spiritual or religious individuals can use as they strive to contribute to the common good. The Center’s knowledge base and activities will inform curricular development for all six of the School of Theology and Ministry’s advanced degree programs. Development of community engagement internships around the Center’s focus issues and opportunities for students to work with the scholars are also in the pipeline. Our graduates will enter their professional lives having seen and participated in dynamic religious social action in ways they can replicate in their own work settings.
- Brings new resources to degree programs through study and practical application of religious insights on current humanitarian problems.
- Builds continuing education models in order to share Center insights and strategies with a broader religious and secular population at Seattle University and beyond.
