Ignatian Leaders

The Ignatian Leaders are a cohort of approximately 12 students selected in recognition of their demonstrated academic, personal, and spiritual integration.  These are some of our best and brightest at Seattle University.

Ignatian Leaders will serve as stewards & mentors in three ways:

  1. For their class: by creating and implementing mentorship circles on discernment and the senior year experience
  2. For student leaders: by facilitating educational programming and our missioning ritual at the iLead Conference in the Spring Quarter
  3. For University leaders: by engaging us in conversations about how best to mentor current students and meeting with Fr. Sundborg quarterly to discuss the student experience

Criteria

Students must meet all of the following to be selected for 2017-2018:

  • Currently enrolled with at least junior standing and scheduled to graduate between December 2017 and June 2018
  • Demonstrated leadership with and for others
  • Integration of leadership into their academic and professional formation
  • Integration of leadership into their spiritual and values development.
Studying abroad will not necessarily prevent a student from being selected, but students must be on campus at least one quarter.
