Admission Timeline and Deadlines

Junior Year

Senior Year

  • September / October / November
    • Meet with the Seattle University representative when he or she visits your school. Contact your counselor here for specific dates.
  • October / November
    • Repeat the SAT or ACT exams.
    • Seattle University takes the highest sub-scores from these tests.
  • October
    • Request counselor and teacher recommendation letters on your behalf.
  • Late October / early November
  • November 15 
  • December 21
    • Early Action notification date: Students who successfully completed their application through Early Action will be mailed an admission decision on this date. Students selected to receive an institutional merit scholarship will be notified at the time of their acceptance. Please note that most applicants will receive decision letters several days after this date.
  • January 1 - February 1
  • January 15 
  • March 1
    • Regular Decision Reply Deadline. Students who successfully completed their application through Regular Decision will be sent an admission decision on this date. Students selected to receive an institutional merit scholarship will be notified at the time of their acceptance.
  • Late March / Early April
    • Accepted Student Regional Receptions for out of state students.
  • April
    • Accepted Student Open Houses - These give you another opportunity to meet faculty, staff, and current students.
  • May 1
    • National Candidate's Reply Date - Deposits must be postmarked by this date for fall term enrollment at Seattle University.
  • July
    • Summer in Seattle orientation happens throughout July.
  • September
    • Welcome Week and Fall quarter begins in late September.
