Freshmen Scholarships

2017-18 Merit Awards for Freshmen

New full-time Seattle University freshman applicants will be considered for one of the following awards at the time of their admission. Freshman admits required to complete the English Language and Culture Bridge (ELCB) program to meet English Proficiency requirements are not eligible for merit awards.  Scholarship recipients must meet all university requirements for regular admission to the fall, winter or spring quarter. Students may qualify for additional need-based aid, as determined by the FAFSA.

Campion Scholarship $20,000* per academic year
Bellarmine Scholarship $18,000* per academic year
Arrupe Scholarship $12,000* per academic year

*Amounts are renewable for up to four years (i.e.,$22,000 = $88,000 over 4 academic years) for students who maintain satisfactory academic progress which includes continuous full-time enrollment with the required GPA and completion of the required number of credits annually.

Sullivan Leadership Award

The Sullivan Leadership Award is a full scholarship that covers tuition, room and board for each of four years of undergraduate study at Seattle University and is awarded to nine incoming freshmen each year. For more information, please click here.

Fostering Scholars  

Fostering Scholars is a full scholarship and program of support awarded to eligible students currently in or who aged-out of the foster care system. Recipients receive financial, academic, and personal support towards the completion of an undergraduate degree at Seattle University. For more information, please click here.

Raise.me Micro-Scholarships

Seattle University has partnered with Raise.me to increase college accessibility and scholarship transparency. Starting as early as 9th grade, Raise.me enables students to earn scholarships throughout high school by hitting the goals that best prepare them to succeed. 

As noted on the Seattle University Raise.me profile, micro-scholarships earned through Raise.me will automatically be included in a student's merit scholarship and financial aid award after acceptance. Please contact the Admissions Office with additional questions.

2017-18 Merit Awards for First Year International Students

New full-time Seattle University freshmen who are international students will be considered for one of the following awards at the time of their admission. Freshman admits required to complete the English Language and Culture Bridge (ELCB) program to meet English Proficiency requirements are not eligible for merit awards.

Scholarship recipients must meet all university requirements for regular admission to the fall, winter, or spring quarter.

International students are those students who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents and typically require a visa to study in the United States. International freshman applicants must submit official SAT or ACT scores in order to be considered for a scholarship award.
