Getting involved

Enjoy a spring concert on the Quad. Test your communications skills and write an article for the student newspaper or host a program at campus radio station KXSU. Compete in intramural sports. Go swimming. Tutor other students. Run for student government. Work out at the gym. Belt out a song with one of the university’s four choir groups. Join the Earth Action Coalition and plan events for Earth Day. Or let others entertain and inspire you. Concerts, films, poetry readings, and lectures by world leaders challenge students with exciting stories and unique perspectives.

Join the club

In the spirit of a street fair, all student clubs and organizations set up booths outside the Student Center early in the fall quarter to talk about their activities and recruit new members.

Over 120 clubs range in focus from community service, cultural heritage, and honor societies to professional development and recreation. The list includes Habitat for Humanity, Vietnamese Students Association, SU Bike Club, Photography Club, Black Student Union, and the Society of Women Engineers. Take a look at the whole list; or, better yet, come for a visit and see for yourself!
