Deborah Limb, ‘88

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT ALUMNI AWARD

After graduating in 1988 with a degree from the College of Science and Engineering, Deborah Limb began her distinguished career at Boeing.  She rose quickly through the ranks to become the 767 fleet manager and then the 77 fleet chief engineer for Customer Service.  In 1998, Limb was promoted to director of Customer Quality for Boeing Commercial Airplanes and in 2003, she joined the 787 team when the program was in its infancy.  There she led the international team which was responsible for the design and build of the 787 fuselage and interior.  In 2007, Limb moved to a new cross functional role as director of structures engineering where she leads a team of 500 Puget Sound employees who provide support for all commercial airplane programs.

Limb is just as dedicated to the community as she is to her career. She currently serves on the Seattle University Science and Engineering advisory board and is vice president of Health & Welfare on the Boeing Management Association board. She has also served on the board of trustees of Crista Ministries for 5 years and was chairman for 2 years.  She previously served on the board of Bethany Christian Service adoption agency for 5 years.
