About Me

I grew up all over the United States and abroad and attended nearly every type of school out there – public, private, religious, secular, and international! While it was not part of my initial plan, I was fascinated with my history classes in college and made it my major. As I spent many summers in and part of my family is from the SWANA (Southwest Asian & North Africa) region, I also wanted to do more of a deep-dive – thus my minor.

I started my professional career in an international NGO but decided to pivot to education and went to graduate school. Afterwards, I traveled to Morocco to teach at a public university through the Fulbright Program. I then spent eight years working in schools - teaching social studies, advising, and running trips and programs. I enjoy working with students and am excited to work with College of Arts & Sciences and Pre-Education students!
