With Us

Students who complete an approved Associates degree (DTA) will be guaranteed junior standing (90 quarter transfer credits) upon admission to Seattle University, and 8 of the University Core requirements will be waived. The following five Core courses must be taken at SU or another Jesuit institution:

  • UCOR 2100 Theological Explorations
  • UCOR 2500 Philosophy of the Human Person
  • UCOR 2900 Ethical Reasoning
  • one UCOR 3000 level Global Challenges course dependent on your major
  • one Capstone course in your major.

In order to better prepare for a smooth transfer into your major, we encourage you to review the Junior Transfer Typical Program of Study documents and the below supplemental list of recommended courses according to your major. Note that these are not admission pre-requisites, but recommended courses to consider taking prior to transfer if your current institution offers them.
