Resources for Faculty and Staff

The Pre-Law Program assists students in the law school discernment process, LSAT preparation, and applying to law school. Pre-Law information sessions are offered twice a quarter for interested students and various events are held through the year.

While not required to pursue a specific major, pre-law students are expected to take a diverse and challenging curriculum, as well as hone in on specific areas they are passionate about.

Below are some quick tips on advising students interested in attending law school:

  • Most importantly, encourage your students to schedule a pre-law advising appointment with Dr. Elias, Pre-Law Advisor.
  • Encourage students to think ahead. Refer them to a pre-law information session, discuss when they should take the LSAT and how many schools they want to apply to.
  • Encourage networking. This will be extremely important in selecting individuals to write letters of recommendation.
