Learning Outcomes

Anthropology students should be able to:

  • Theory: Distinguish key developments in the history of anthropological thought and their significance
  • 4 Fields: Critically evaluate social phenomena using a combination of anthropological subfield perspectives
  • Methods:  Design and implement an ethnographic research project (ethnographic methods) using (anthropological) ethnographic research methods to gather, analyze and evaluate data and produce/create a presentation
  • Applied: Demonstrate the ability to use anthropological perspectives (theory and skills) to address a social issue
  • Professional Engagement: Effectively communicate in a variety of formats to diverse audiences and work effectively with people from different cultural contexts.
