CPT Information Session

Albers international students are welcome to attend to learn about the guidelines and process of doing a Curricular Practical Training internship in the Albers School. Covered topics include CPT eligibility, requirements based on degree program, and process for obtaining a CPT. Zoom link will be emailed to students.

 

Kick-off Event for all Albers Mentor Programs

Career Fair Prep and Recruiter Panel Workshop

This year's Business & Engineering Career Fair will be back to in-person format! Attend this workshop to learn about the career fair logistics, what to expect out of an in-person career fair and some best practices for meeting with employers. We will also have a panel of recruiters who will be attending the career fair. They will share tips on how to make the most of this unique experience for your job/internship search. Albers Career Crawl

Learn all about the resources available in Albers to help you achieve academic and career planning success in a fun rotational style event. Represented resources will include Albers Placement Center, Undergrad and Grad Academic Advising, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, Albers Clubs, Albers Wardrobe, and more! Earn prizes and fun Albers swag, get a professional LinkedIn photo taken and have your resume reviewed to prepare for the career fair the following week. Slalom's Practical Guide to Launching Your Career

Presented by Brian Ladyman, Managing Director at Slalom Consulting and Albers Mentor & Adjunct Faculty
This fun 1-hour workshop will be led by Brian Ladyman, Adjunct Professor at Albers, Slalom Managing Director and Author of A Well-Baked Pie: The 4-Year Practical Guide to Launch your Corporate Career. His book covers the seven ingredients (mind, body, spirit, fun--and the book's focus of heart, social and career) to become a well-baked job candidate, as well as make the most of college. The workshop specifically digs into four areas--connecting majors to careers, creating a compelling resume, learning to network, and telling engaging stories in interviews. Includes actions for each year of college from freshman through senior year with plenty of time for questions.
