What has been the biggest challenge and the biggest reward throughout your journey?

I’m on a journey to continue my Dad’s legacy by preserving what brought our business success while also adapting to the changing times. It’s all about striking a delicate balance that ensures we stay relevant for the next generation of leaders and guests. Recently, I came across a quote from my father in an internal newsletter, and it’s amazing how his words of wisdom still hold true. He said, “Menus may have evolved, the décor may have shifted, and even the view may have changed, but the three core pillars of our success remain constant: offering the freshest seafood, providing excellent service, and delivering great value to our guests.”

What’s next for the business?

Continuing to offer the best Pacific Northwest seafood with exceptional service!

If you were to recommend one thing from Anthony’s that newcomers should taste, what would it be?

The seasonal features — we partner with local farmers to get fresh produce and pair it with our seasonal seafood we procure direct from the fisherman through our wholesale company. This harmonious pairing of in-season seafood and fresh produce is a symphony for your taste buds. Our skilled chefs are experts in creating these delightful combinations, allowing you to savor the finest offerings of the Pacific Northwest.

What, if anything, did you learn at Albers that has helped you in running the business?

There’s a lot I’ve gained from this experience, but if I had to pick just one thing, it would be the invaluable lessons I’ve learned from my cohort. I’ve had the privilege of getting to know some truly remarkable and talented individuals from diverse industries across the Northwest. Witnessing how they tackle challenges, recover from setbacks, and ultimately achieve success has been eye-opening. I frequently reach out to many of them for advice, and it’s been a tremendous resource for my own growth.

Two-sentence advice for anyone who wants to follow in your footsteps?

Embrace opportunity when it knocks at your door. If you can envision it you can accomplish it; if you can believe it, you can become it.
