Waitlist and Registration

Waitlist and Registration Procedures

Course schedules and registration

  • You can access course schedules and register for classes through MySeattleU Student Planning.
  • Within the Timeline or Search for Classes, click on the course section number to reveal detailed course information, such as prerequisites, schedule, course description, lab fees, additional information, bookstore link, open seats, etc. This area includes Catalog information and the Comments section of SUOnline.

Registration times

  • Go to Student Planning ->Plan and Schedule -> change to the current quarter. A few weeks before you register, you will see a light blue box that says, "Student's registration period for ___ Quarter begins on Day X at Time Y."
  • If you cannot change to the desired quarter, you also may need to click the + button to add this quarter to your plan.

Class is Full/Closed

  • Try registering for an open section of the same class.
  • If you would like to be on the waitlist for a specific course(s)/section(s) or have other registration issues for Albers business courses, complete and submit an Albers Waitlist Form.

UCOR Classes

  • Core does not keep waiting lists, so it is important to register for an open section (e.g., any section of UCOR 1400 that fits with your other classes) to complete your registration.
  • Check status of the closed UCOR section in Student Planning regularly as enrollments do shift and it may later show up as open.
  • If you cannot find any open section that fits with your other classes, contact your Albers advisor or Albers Undergraduate Advising-Albers_UG-Advising@seattleu.edu to discuss your options.

Credit Load Maximum

  • Credit Load Maximum Policy
  • Students may take up to 18 credits per quarter.
  • Students with 45 credits or more and a 4 Cumulative GPA can register up to 20 credits.
  • Students in their last quarter can take up to 20 credits regardless of their GPA.
