Workshops, Outreach, and Psychoeducational Programs

Workshops, Outreach, and Psychoeducational Programs

The purpose of outreach is to provide the campus community with information and training on mental health issues.  CAPS' workshops and programs are designed to provide students, faculty, and staff with the knowledge and skills to maintain psychological health and wellness on campus. We also offer programs to identify potential difficulties and prevent or intervene early before problems get worse.

 Some common outreach topics include:

  • Overview of CAPS services
  • Orientation trainings
  • How to recognize and help a student in distress
  • How to manage student distress and disruption
  • How to refer to CAPS
  • Stress management
  • Self-Care

If you are interested in having CAPS facilitate a workshop for your group, please complete and submit the online workshop request form.  Please note that we need at least two weeks advance notice to schedule outreach programming.

We would be happy to work with you to create a workshop/program to meet your particular needs.
