SU racks up multiple CASE awards

Numerous awards came Seattle University’s way at the 2018 Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VIII Conference held in Seattle last month. 

As previously reported, President Stephen Sundborg, S.J., received the 2018 District VIII Leadership Award. Father Sundborg also presented on “Higher Education Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice - The Role and Impact of Advancement Leadership.” 

In addition, the following communications projects received awards from CASE: 

  • The Spring 2017 SU Magazine won a Gold Award in the “Cover Design” category. (Contributing Marketing Communication Staff: Anne Reinisch, Yosef Kalinko, Tina Potterf, Kristen Kirst and Scott McClellan)

  • The video “The Ones” earned a Silver Award in the category “Marketing and Branding Video.” (Contributing Marketing Communications staff: Scott McClellan, Kristen Kirst, K. Francesca Nisco and Kaily Serralta) 
  • “Hall of Honor,” a series of photographs of SU’s 2017 Alumni Award recipients that are displayed in the Admissions and Alumni Building, won a Silver in the “Excellence in Photography” category. (Contributing staff: Yosef Kalinko and Kristen Kirst of Marketing Communications and Corinne Pann of Alumni Engagement)

  • The activities and communications surrounding Seattle University’s 125th anniversary celebration won a Bronze in the category “Best Practices in Communications and Marketing.” (Contributing Marketing Communications staff: Scott McClellan, Kristen Kirst, Kaily Serralta, K. Francesca Nisco, Eli Voigt, Jason Beardriel, Tracy DeCroce, Yosef Kalinko, Matt Miller, Anne Reinisch, Marissa Leitch, Aubrey Benasa, Carter Johnson, Dean Forbes and Lincoln Vander Veen) 

CASE District VIII is comprised of 152 member institutions in western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
