The pace may be slower and the weather warmer, but there’s still plenty to do at Seattle U in the summertime.

Looking for things to do at SU in the summer? Here are some ideas.

  1. Make a gift to the Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign. Contribute by June 30 for a chance to win a gift card for Elliott Bay Book Company. Click here for more information and to make a donation.

  2. Attend—or better yet, volunteer for—the Special Olympics soccer and basketball games that will be played at Seattle U. Learn more about the Games, which take place July 1-6.

  3. Be a friendly face for the hundreds of incoming students and family members who will be attending the various Summer in Seattle orientation sessions throughout the month of July.

  4. Enjoy Early Dismissal Fridays and Free Coffee Mondays all summer long.

  5. Celebrate the founder of the Jesuits on the Feast of St. Ignatius, July 31, which includes a continental breakfast at the Arrupe Jesuit Residence (8:30-9:30 a.m.) and a Mass at the Chapel of St. Ignatius (noon).

  6. Immerse yourself in SU’s art scene by attending such exhibits as “In a Split Second,” “And Not Or,” and more. Visit Arts & Sciences to see what’s being shown at the university’s various arts venues.

  7. Join SU alumni and friends in cheering on our beloved Mariners, Sounders and Storm. Click here for the details.

  8. Engage with sustainability from a Jesuit perspective by attending a conference on “Innovation for Sustainability” that SU is hosting July 22-25.

  9. Welcome Chartwells as SU’s new food service provider, effective July 1. Watch for updates on faculty and staff meal plans, facilities improvements and other upcoming enhancements to the SU dining experience.

  10. Get ready to cheer on the Redhawks when our men’s and women’s soccer teams and volleyball squads start their 2018 campaigns in August.
