SU to commemorate 50th anniversary of MLK's assassination.

At 6:01 p.m. on April 4, 1968, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tenn.

To mark the 50th anniversary of his death, students, staff and faculty are invited to a public reading of his poignant sermons and speeches, which begins 5:01 p.m. in the Library Plaza.

The readings will be followed by a silent procession to the reflecting pool at the Chapel of St. Ignatius and a tolling of the chapel bells.

The remembrance is cosponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Office of Multicultural Affairs and Campus Ministry.
