Seattle University is a “Top Pick for North American Venues for Academic Camps,” according to Unique Venues. The organization, which connects excellent venues with meeting planners looking for something new, recognizes SU as “a lovely, naturally landscaped 48-acre urban campus in the First Hill neighborhood, situated on the doorstep of Seattle's downtown core.”

SU’s Conference and Event Services (CES) takes the lead in hosting academic camps and myriad other gatherings and groups on campus. CES manages more than 10,000 campus events each year, ranging from 10 to 1,100 visitors, and up to 1,000 overnight guests. Over the summer alone, CES serves approximately 50 overnight programs.

“We are really honored in CES to have been given this designation!” said Kit Morse, director of CES. “We have worked very hard to attract quality academic camps and programs to Seattle University, and now have several middle and high school programs each summer. We are also partnering with Enrollment Services and academic departments to increase recruiting efforts, and are really excited about the possibilities that being named a top pick by Unique Venues will bring to us.”
