Two staff members in the Office of Alumni Engagement have been recognized as Opportunity and Inclusion Scholars by District VIII of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE): Bianca Galam, assistant director of alumni communities; and Dale Yee, assistant director for alumni marketing and communication.

The Opportunity and Inclusion Scholars Program encourages diverse professionals, particularly those who have less than four years of experience in the field of advancement/communications. Galam and Yee are among 14 emerging leaders selected from institutions of higher education in a region that encompasses the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada.

“The members of this year’s cohort of Opportunity and Inclusion Scholars are bringing valuable new perspectives and expertise to their institutions and to District VIII as a whole,” said Susan Ordonez, co-chair of the District VIII O&I Conference Committee. “We are pleased to support the retention and growth of these outstanding professionals. Our profession benefits when we better reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve.”
