College of Education student receives fellowship

Hangatu Umar Dawud, a student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, has been selected for the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program-Mental Health Counseling-Master’s (MFP-MHC-M).

As a fellow, Dawud will receive funding and training to support her education and facilitate her service to underserved populations. A Seattle native and active member of the Oromo, Muslim community, Dawud aspires to work toward eliminating systemic barriers in providing holistic and patient-centered care to all her clients. Read more at College of Education.
