Charles Tung, professor of English, was invited to present his paper, “Mutant Formations for Rethinking Human and Humanist Bodies,” in response to the panel on Speculative Orientations: Reshaping Bodies in Contemporary Science Fiction and Fantasy, at the Modern Language Association Annual Convention, Jan. 7–10.

Tung also participated in a podcast conversation, “Time and the interplay between human history and planetary history,” for the University of Minnesota Press as part of the December 2020 release of the collection, Timescales: Ecological Temporalities across Disciplines. Tung’s chapter in the volume is “Time Machines and Timelapse Aesthetics in Anthropocenic Modernism.”
