New Campus Art Walk Launched

As we come to the end of this academic year and contemplate a return to in-person life, ARTS at Seattle U invites those who are able to access campus to reacquaint themselves with Seattle University's beautiful grounds.

As we come to the end of this academic year and contemplate a return to in-person life, ARTS at Seattle U invites those who are able to access campus to reacquaint themselves with our beautiful grounds through a unique Campus Art Walk. Experience campus in a whole new way by following a course leading you to sites where you can view and listen to artwork created during the pandemic by students from SU’s creative writing, film, music, theatre and visual arts programs. Follow the map they’ve created or choose a site you love and stay as long as you like—it’s your art walk to curate and experience in whatever way you choose.

Acknowledgments: The Campus Art Walk originated in Performing Arts and Arts Leadership as the brainchild of music faculty Tess Altiveros, who curated and helped produce it. It took many, many hours of work and coordination across multiple disciplines and university offices to put this ambitious project together. Thank you to our amazing student artists; the Performing Arts and Arts Leadership faculty; colleagues in Art, Art History & Design, English–Creative Writing and Film Studies; University Admissions and MarCom for partnering; design student Marguerite Pilon (’21) for the graphics and the map; and Em Olson, operations manager for Performing Arts and Arts Leadership and Art History and Design, who designed and built the web pages.
