Redhawks Stand Out in Winter Term

Seattle University Athletics recorded a stellar academic quarter this winter. Seventeen teams tallied grade point averages over 3.0 in the winter term as SU logged a collective 3.404 GPA.


Women's golf led the way with a 3.860 GPA. Women's tennis (3.741), men's golf (3.714), women's basketball (3.625), women's swimming (3.621), and women's cross country (3.611) posted terrific GPAs. Rounding out nine programs to claim at least a 3.5 for the term, rowing earned a 3.604, softball earned a 3.537 and volleyball earned a 3.508 GPA.

Women's soccer wrapped up the quarter with a 3.410, followed by men's tennis (3.405), women's track & field (3.362), men's basketball (3.256), men's swimming (3.241), men's track & field (3.234), baseball (3.231) and men's cross country (3.183).

All told, 58 student athletes put up a 4.0 GPA for the quarter, while 90 Redhawks notched at least a 3.9 in the term. Out of 350 total student athletes, 189 (54%) landed on the Dean's List with a 3.5 or better.
