President Eduardo Peñalver delivered remarks on May 2 at a memorial service at the U.S. Supreme Court in honor of the late Justice John Paul Stevens. President Peñalver once clerked for Justice John Paul Stevens, who died in July 2019.

The prior day, the president was the guest speaker at Yale’s Saint Thomas More Catholic Chapel and Center. Watch the livestream of his talk on, “A Christian Approach to Systemic Racism.”

The president’s talk at Yale—he is a 1999 graduate of the Yale Law School—was part of the Judge Guido Calabresi Fellowship in Religion & Law speaker series. After law school, President Peñalver clerked for Judge Calabresi in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
