Read Dr. Marc Cohen’s article on the “Hebrew Bible’s Argument for Religious Diversity” on the Religica website.

Referring to the “Tower of Babel” story in the Hebrew Bible version of Genesis, Dr. Marc Cohen, a professor of philosophy at Seattle University, writes, “the story can serve as a myth explaining how human communities came to speak different languages.” The essay was dedicated to the memory of Peter Ely, S.J.

Dr. Marc Cohen is a professor of philosophy and business ethics at Seattle University. He has also served as an adjunct faculty in the philosophy departments at George Washington University and Wake Forest University.
