It's Never Too Early to Explore the Opportunities in Business

Do you have a high school student (currently in grade 9, 10, or 11) interested in business? Are they interested in experiencing college-level entrepreneurship, marketing, and economics classes?

The Albers Summer Business Institute (SBI) at Seattle University is a great way for them to sample the instruction, interactions, and opportunities that business school offers. SBI is a credit-bearing, project-based summer business residency for high school students focused on social entrepreneurship.

The program allows participants to explore entrepreneurship, data visualization, and other business concepts and functions in more depth. While SBI is open to all rising 9th to 12th graders, students with historically marginalized identities are strongly encouraged to apply.

What SBI alumni say about the program "A Glimpse of Business School at a Relaxed Level."

Viola Sloniker-Tabares

"I really enjoyed the group work where we had to come up with a business idea and present it to everyone. My group came up with the idea of a mobile van that did hair. We all dressed up for the presentation. I was super proud. In the end, I got a glimpse of business school at a relaxed level. And I wouldn't have been as confident about college if I hadn't gone."
