ACCA Partnership Enhances Career Options for Students 

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a global body that offers the Certified Chartered Accountant qualification, which is recognized and respected by employers worldwide. ACCA qualification can help a student to develop the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in accounting, finance, and management. ACCA qualification also provides students with ethical guidance, professional support, and access to various resources and opportunities.

Seattle University is an Accredited Education Partner of ACCA. Graduates from the undergraduate Accounting and Master of Professional Accounting (MPAC) programs at Seattle University can get exemptions for at least half of the exams required to obtain the ACCA qualification.

This accreditation demonstrates the excellence of Seattle University and its accounting programs in providing students with a high-quality professional formation experience. Our programs equip students with the competencies and quotients that are in high demand in the global accounting industry. 

Recognition of Exceptional Accounting Programs 

Albers accounting programs are highly ranked nationally. Albers accounting programs are among the top 30 in the nation, with the undergraduate Accounting program tied for #27 (2024) and the Master's in Accounting tied for #16 (2025). 

Albers received Center of Excellence status from the Institute of Internal Auditors in 2017, one of only eight such Centers in the world.

In addition, our chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has received a Superior Chapter Award for 20 years in a row. We are one of the most decorated chapters in the Pacific Northwest region, with five distinguished, 26 superior, and four gold chapter awards.
