Albers Career Center Signature Events
Networking Events
The Albers Career Center hosts 2 major networking events per year: The Albers Career Night (for undergraduates) and the Albers Grad Career Connections (for graduate students). Both help students make important career connections with alumni, mentors and employers. Students can practice their networking skills and build relationships with professionals who can provide guidance for their career planning. Other various industry networking events happen throughout the year as well in partnership with departments or clubs.
Career Fairs
The Albers Career Center partners with the SU Career Engagement Office to host 2 career fairs a year: The Business & Engineering Career Fair in fall quarter and the Career & Internship Fair in winter quarter. Both Fairs allow students to connect directly with employers and recruiters and learn about job and internship opportunities. Check Handshake for more Career Fair details.
Employer Events
Employers and students have the opportunity to engage in multiple ways including company information sessions (virtual or in-person), company tours, on-campus interviews, or presentations at Albers club meetings. Employers please let us know how we can help you plan the optimal recruiting strategies for your hiring needs.
Company Treks
Company Treks offer students a unique opportunity to go off-campus and get a "behind the scenes" look at what it's like to work in various corporate environments and experience company cultures firsthand. Students get to participate in a company tour, learn from various speakers and employee panels about career paths and job opportunities, and mingle with SU alumni and company representatives to build their network. 2-3 Company Treks occur every quarter.
Career Development Workshops
Various seminars, panels, and workshops are provided throughout the year on career topics such as job search strategies, recruiting tips, internships, resumes, salary negotiations and industry insights. Presenters are often recruiters, employers and alumni.
