Mentoring Objectives & Scope
I want to be there as a sounding board, to answer questions and guide students towards the career goals that they have. If they don't have goals, I want to help them establish goals so we can work together to develop a strategy to get them to those goals by finding the correct classes, internships and companies that will help them reach those goals. Help develop cover letters and resumes that will meet the goals of the internships and then full-time positions after they finish the internships and graduate.
When and where do you hold meetings with your students?
On non-class nights in the evening for me, which typically is any night but Monday and weekends.
Additional Information
I teach an OMBA 5005 session every quarter and those zoom sessions are one hour and usually happen on Monday or Tuesday night. I am currently working remotely as a CFO consultant and can answer quick questions from my home office if needed.
