Mentoring Objectives & Scope

I would like to mentor students focused on Entrepreneurial Studies / Individualized Business Major / Management (BABA) with an Entrepreneurial Focus, or students looking to launch their own product or company. I can provide support to self-motivated, entrepreneurial students.

During our sessions, I give people a forum to talk though their school programs and transition into professional career. Discuss options for professional careers and connect people currently working in those careers. I hope students will get more comfortable talking about themself and get a better understanding of non traditional career choices

Mentees are asked to:
1) come prepared with topics/challenges you'd like to discuss at each session;
2) take the lead in driving this experience. You make the relationship and experience a success when you are clear on you goals and desired outcomes; and
3) be respectful of each other's time and communicate any schedule changes in advance (as will I).

As a mentor, I can support students in the following: 

- Resume review, interview prep, LinkedIn branding
- Career exploration, matching interests and talents with professions and industries
- Student transition from college to first professional role
- Improved communication and interpersonal skills
- Development of leadership skills, confidence, and executive presence
- Helping entrepreneurial students define a business or product and business plan
- Career Pivot - transition to new role, career, and industry
