Mentoring Objectives & Scope

What work needs to be done today to land the job post-college; Networking 101 ("It's not what you know, it's who you know"); Finding the right career path and balancing your passions with your career. I work to help students achieve their goals and become a better version of themselves.

As a mentor, I can support students in the following:

- Career exploration, matching interests and talents with professions and industries
- Student transition from college to first professional role
- Improved communication and interpersonal skills
- Development of leadership skills, confidence, and executive presence
- Expanding a network, building connection, navigating an organization
- Helping entrepreneurial students define a business or product and business plan
- Career Pivot - transition to new role, career, and industry

When and where do you hold meetings with your students?

A mixture of in-person and virtual - flexible.
Can meet in Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, or anywhere in the region

Additional Information

I mentor students because I care about their future path ahead. I didn't have a mentor when I was graduating from WSU in 2005 and because of it, I struggled to find my first job. Once I realized the importance of a mentor I started to thrive because I aligned myself with these amazing resources. I don't want to see other students go through that process so I've dedicated my free time to working with students at Seattle University, Washington State University, and Western Washington University.
