Mentoring Objectives & Scope
Soft skills are often undervalued--especially at work. I spent 24 years at Microsoft developing one particular skill...how to get someone to eagerly speak with you.
When and where do you hold meetings with your students?
Hybrid (mix of in-person and virtual) near U Village
Additional Information
Make friends before you need them. How does anyone make friends? Relationships start with the first conversation. So how do you get someone to eagerly speak with you?
If you know what someone cares about it can be easy to get that person talking. But how do you know what someone cares about?
The clues are everywhere—if you know where to look. I will teach you where to look. I call these clues “Easter Eggs.” And everyone has them—whether they know it or not.
Easter Eggs are “hidden” personal details that often spark a meaningful conversation/interaction. When you find someone’s egg (and ask about it) it’s irresistible for that person.
And like any easter egg--there’s a reward for the person who finds it.
