Exploring Tech Beyond Canvas
Outside of Canvas, there are many tools and apps for faculty that can be integrated into the LMS to help create a more engaging online learning experience.
Zoom
Seattle U provides all faculty with a Zoom pro license to host synchronous online class meetings (and make recordings) with an interactive whiteboard, screen sharing, audio/video webcams, and text chat with all meeting participants.
Padlet
Padlet is a collaborative online pin board that faculty can integrate into their courses to help students share content with each other.
Camtasia
If Canvas Studio doesn't meet your video recording and editing needs, CDLI has licenses available for Camtasia, an advanced webcam and screen recording and video editing program that lets you record video of what's on your computer screen to make lessons with video editing tools, animations, and effects.
