CEIE External Relations
One of CEIE's stated norms is that the truth we all seek is evident through mutual dialogue and engagement. We trust collective discernment, consensus, and action, which is why our External Relations are an essential aspect of our daily operations.
External relations
Local Relations
CEIE participates with local and regional agencies in the Pacific Northwest, including the Faith Action Network, Paths to Understanding, and councils of churches and ecumenical and interreligious agencies who provide direct service to people and communities experiencing stress on the margins of society.
National Dialogues
CEIE provides biannual leadership in four national, bilateral dialogues that include the Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim communities. Topics cover leadership strengths, domestic and geopolitical realities, and timely responses to challenges and opportunities for cooperation across communities.
Global Relations
CEIE collaborates with international agencies, including the Parliament of the World’s Religions, Church World Service, the offices of the United Nations, and other international actors to provide innovative responses and create curricula shared in university classrooms and communities where we serve.
