Engage Education
Spehar-Halligan Professorship
The Spehar-Halligan Professorship embodies CEIE’s core commitments to ethical responsibility, interdisciplinary inquiry, and engaged leadership in a complex world, deepening the Center’s mission by uniting academic rigor with public purpose.
Grounded in my dual formation in constructive theology and executive leadership, and shaped by existential phenomenology, continental philosophy, and the Ignatian commitment to cura personalis, my teaching integrates theology, organizational leadership, and human development into learning environments that form the whole person—intellectually, ethically, and relationally.
Across nonprofit and private-sector executive programs, digital and hybrid classrooms, and initiatives such as the CEIE Leadership Academy, my work connects theory with lived practice, discernment with decision-making, and scholarship with communities, extending the university’s mission outward toward the common good.
