Teaching in the Jesuit Tradition (TJT)

Inspired by the interest of new faculty who were animated by the New Faculty Institute presentation on “Teaching in the Jesuit Tradition”, this series is a monthly faculty formation opportunity, highlighting the elements of the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (Context, Experience, Reflection, Action, Evaluation).   As an outgrowth of TJT, an online repository of resources has been developed which features best practices by our SU faculty related to teaching in the Jesuit tradition.

Ignatian Pedagogy Series (IPS)

ENGAGE  EMBODY  EMPOWER

The Ignatian Pedagogy Series offers three different faculty development seminars: 1) Ignatian Pedagogy and Active Learning; 2) Ignatian Pedagogy and Reflective Practices for Teaching and Learning; and 3) Ignatian Pedagogy and Inclusive Practices.  Each is a 3-part seminar for faculty to learn how to integrate various elements of the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm into their teaching.
