Tickets

If you have not yet claimed your tickets, email commencement@seattleu.edu immediately to resolve this issue.

  • Graduating students do not require a guest ticket.
  • There is no cost associated with a guest ticket.
  • All guests over the age of 3 require a guest ticket to enter Climate Pledge Arena.

Distribute/Print

Graduates are responsible for distributing guest tickets before the event.

  1. Log into the Commencement Portal to access all guest tickets.

  2. Click on the Print/Email Guest Tickets button to email/print guest tickets.

  3. Tickets can be emailed to guests and printed or displayed on a mobile device for entry.

Assistance with Ticket Issues

  • Guests encountering ticket problems will be directed to a Seattle University Ticketing Assistant for assistance.

Guest Entry

Ceremony Doors Start
Undergraduate Ceremony 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m.
Graduate Ceremony 4:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m.
  • To ensure a smooth experience, plan to arrive early to park, walk, and enter the arena before the ceremony commences. Seattle University staff will be on the Seattle Center and Climate Pledge Arena campus to assist with wayfinding and questions.

  • For those who may arrive later, guest doors will remain open throughout the program.

  • Please ensure you have your tickets readily available for scanning upon entry.

  • Guests will access the arena through designated entrances 1, 8, 10, and 11. Each entrance is equipped with accessible points to assist guests requiring additional support.

  • Individuals with limited mobility are encouraged to notify a Climate Pledge Arena Guest Services member at the entry door for assistance with wheelchair transport and guidance to accessible seating.

Arena Policies

All guests must adhere to these Climate Pledge Arena regulations to guarantee a secure and pleasant event for all.

Permitted items

  • Transparent bag measuring 14” x 14” x 6” or smaller.

  • Small clutch not surpassing 4” x 6”.

  • Empty reusable water bottle made of non-glass material, with a maximum capacity of 32 oz.

  • Leis

Prohibited items

  • Outside food or beverages, balloons, wrapped gifts, noise-making devices, flags, computers.

Seating

  • Seating at Climate Pledge Arena is General Admission, meaning it's first come, first served. Please occupy only the number of seats for which you have tickets to ensure that all guests have access to seating.

  • Guests are required to remain in the stands; the arena floor is reserved for graduates, faculty, and staff.

  • Wheelchair accessible and low mobility seating are available on each level of Climate Pledge Arena, allocated on a first come, first served basis. For further details on accessibility, please refer to the Accessibility Guide - Climate Pledge Arena.

Concessions

  • Outside food or beverages are not permitted inside Climate Pledge Arena. However, for your convenience, the arena will offer a selection of concessions for purchase.

  • Please note that alcohol will not be served at the event.

Photographs

Guests must remain in the stands - the floor is for graduating students, faculty, and staff only. Photographers will provide close up photo coverage which will be available through GradImages 1-2 weeks after the event. Families and friends may take pictures with graduates outside the arena after the ceremony.

GradImages is the official photographer for our Commencement. Graduates at Seattle University can locate their graduation photos online by visiting http://www.gradimages.com/seattleuniversity

The following two pieces of information are required to access their account:

  • Last Name of the graduate
  • Graduation Year

Livestream

For guests unable to attend in person, we encourage watching the livestream during or after the event on the Commencement website. The livestream will appear on the morning of Sunday, June 9th.
