Biography
Daniel Gross is a licensed clinical social worker who received his Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Washington in 1999. Prior to his completion of his MSW degree, Mr. Gross worked in several nonprofit agencies in the Puget Sound area serving homeless youth. He later shifted to outpatient psychiatric settings, and served as the Director of Social Work at Northwest Hospital’s Geropsychiatric Intensive Outpatient Program. He subsequently went to work for the Seattle Veterans Administration Hospital, where, as part of a three person team, he developed and implemented the hospital’s first intensive outpatient mental health program. Mr. Gross continues to work in the mental health clinic at the Veterans Administration Hospital, where his activities include group and individual psychotherapy, case management, and staff training. Additionally, Mr. Gross has maintained a private psychotherapy practice since 2002. Mr. Gross is a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, and provides trauma based group instruction on a local and national level. He also serves as a practicum instructor for the University of Washington.
