Dr. Dawn Lyman Meyer is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Master of Arts in Psychology (MAP) program at Seattle University. She is also a licensed psychologist in Washington State and New York and has been counseling, adults, couples and families for over 30 years. She completed her bachelor degree at Smith College in Psychology and Art History. She then finished her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and did her internship at the University of Washington Student Counseling Center. Her post-doctoral work has focused on working with couples, families, adolescents and individual adults who have experienced complex trauma.

Dr. Meyer teaches Ethics, Group Therapy, Lifespan Development, Couples and Family Therapy and Supervision. Her areas of research include the perception of religious coping and the perceived support of transgender students.
