Biography

Dennis Applegate has taught accounting, auditing, and finance courses for Seattle University since 2014 and, before then, taught similar courses, part time, at local colleges and universities in the Seattle area for more than thirty years. His primary teaching interests include audit planning, risk assessment, and internal controls. Dennis served on the management team of Boeing Corporate Audit for twenty years, holding several management positions including Senior Audit Manager and Chief Auditor. During his professional and academic career, he has authored twenty-two articles on auditing and risk management published in various professional and technical journals, and currently serves on the Editorial Advisory Boards of Strategic Finance and Internal Auditor.
