Biography
Gerald Corporal (he/him/his) serves as Assistant Dean of Student Engagement and is an adjunct instructor in the Albers School of Business and Economics. Gerald joins Seattle University and returns home to the Pacific Northwest after a decade in Los Angeles. Gerald graduated from high school in Lacey, WA and earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Washington. His tenure in Los Angeles includes time at the University of Southern California completing a Master of Education, and serving as an Academic Advisor and then Career Advisor at the USC Marshall School of Business. He also spent time at the University of California, Los Angeles serving as Director of Alumni Career Engagement for the UCLA Alumni Association. Gerald is also a current doctoral candidate in Seattle University's Educational and Organizational Learning and Leadership program in the College of Education. His research examines race and ethnicity, college sense of belonging, and organizational change in higher education. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, running, and photography as hobbies.
