Jennifer Marrone is a full professor in the Department of Management at Seattle University. She received her PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Maryland, College Park and her BS in Accountancy from Villanova University. Dr. Marrone's teaching interests include principles of management, managing work teams, and managing people. Her current research examines team processes and performance, including team leadership and team strategies for managing critical stakeholder relationships, and leader humility. Her research has been published in top management journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Group & Organization Management, International Journal of Management Reviews, and Human Resource Management. She is also a Certified Public Accountant with over 5 years of professional experience in financial accounting, auditing, and business advisory services at KPMG, LLP, serving clients such as BMW of North America, Inc., Minolta Corporation, Siemens Cerberus Division, Inc., and United American Energy Corporation. Dr. Marrone’s research collaborations have involved organizations such as Washington Mutual, KPMG, LLP, The Boeing Company, and The Robert H. Smith School of Business Consulting Program. She is also an active member in the Academy of Management. When not teaching or doing research, she enjoys hiking, jogging, and spending time with her husband, son, and dogs.
